The history of Fiore Podere San Biagio Winery began in 1980. Embracing the philosophy of organic farming with some biodynamic practices in order to build an ideal and synergistic habitat. In 2000 born the winery and the beginning of a real production of wine. The company is run by Jacopo Fiore, a 27-year-old from Abruzzo, together with his family. The company is located 300 mt above sea level, for the treatments are used only copper and sulfur. The mechanical processing of the soil is minimal, thus encouraging the growth of more spontaneous grasses that allow to maintain a rich biodiversity of the soil which in turn allows the development of useful insects and nutrients necessary for the plant. Fermentations are made without adding artificial yeasts, favoring spontaneous fermentation. Actually are produced 7 wines: Montepulciano Colline Teramane DOCG, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC, Controguerra Rosso DOC, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, Pecorino Controguerra Doc, Passerina Controguerra Doc and Vino Cotto.
