The company took root when Roberto completed his studies as a surveyor and decided to return to his roots, taking over an old estate that had been in his family for seven generations. In 2013, he started the agricultural company.\r\nThe property spans 13 hectares, including 3 hectares of vineyards and 2 hectares of woodland at an altitude of approximately 220 meters above sea level. The remaining 8 hectares are cultivated with wheat and sunflowers. Situated in an area particularly rich and suited for viticulture on the first hills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, with a panoramic and dominant position over the Po Valley, the old vineyards benefit from an exceptional climate. The unique landscape allows air currents to flow through the hills, ensuring optimal ventilation and significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.\r\nThe wines from La Poiesa tell the story of the Colli Piacentini region, which is quite different from the eastern side characterized by sandy soils that were once under the sea. Here, the soil is clayey, extremely fertile, fresh, compact, and colloidal. The resulting wines are gastronomic and full of flavor. The grape varieties used are native and traditional to the region, including Malvasia Aromatica di Candia, Ortrugo, Barbera, and Croatina, all cultivated according to organic practices with utmost respect for the vines and the environment.\r\nThe work in the vineyards is entirely manual, without invasive interventions or chemicals. The only preventive measures taken are the use of copper and sulfur.\r\nIn the winery, the same care is given to the wines, guiding the grapes through vinification without induced re-fermentations, chemicals, clarifications, or filtrations.
