Clara Marcelli Winery

Clara Marcelli Winery born in 1992 on the gentle hills of Piceno in the Marche region, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. It was the vision of Emanuele and Daniele Colletta, who own 35 hectares of land, with 14 hectares dedicated to vineyards and the rest used for cultivation, olive groves, and forests. Thanks to the olive trees, the company also produces a small quantity of extra virgin olive oil.
The location of Cantina Clara Marcelli benefits from a unique and exceptional microclimate. Situated at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level, the vineyards receive cooling breezes from the Adriatic Sea and experience significant temperature fluctuations due to their proximity to the Apennine Mountains. The soils consist mostly of tufo, with some clay, and compact layers of fossil-rich sandstone.
The production philosophy of the Colletta brothers aims to create wines that reflect the full potential of the territory while respecting the environment through organic farming practices. They cultivate grape varieties typical of the region, including Montepulciano and Sangiovese for red wines, and Pecorino and Passerina for white wines.
Harvesting is done manually, with careful grape selection in the vineyard to bring only the best raw material to the winery once it reaches full ripeness. Over time, Cantina Clara Marcelli has grown and modernized, expanding its facilities and reintroducing Montepulciano vines in the Rocchetta Vineyard, dating back to the 1970s. Today, Clara Marcelli boasts a spacious, modern, and functional winemaking facility, enabling the production of a more diverse and representative range of products.
