I Vini di Giovanni
Giovanni Mesina grew up in Sardinia in the hard and wild Barbagia. His family then decided to move in Umbria to find a softer climate to bring on their work. He will bring along to the mainland his love for the family’s work, live stock, and the wines of his region. In the present day he lives on the hills of Pianello north of Perugia, where he cares for his stock of sheep in an unspoiled land from where you can enjoy the view of secular olive trees from which he obtains the finest oil. Giovanni owns more than 2 hectares of vineyard, of which one planted with Vermentino, and the other with a variety of local red grapes. The vines are grown in the full respect of the green scenery they stand in. The wines are produced with a naturalistic and minimalistic approach to achieve the major magical expression of the grape and the territory . “Giovanni Mesina, the wine shepard “.
