Côt (or Malbec) is a black grape variety native to France but famous in Argentina.
Characteristics
The wine has an intense purple-red color. On the nose, it offers plum, dark chocolate, and violet notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tannic, with a long finish.
Pairings
Perfect with grilled steak, empanadas, and aged cheeses.
Curiosities
Used in Bordeaux blends in France, it has become Argentina’s national wine symbol.
