Created in 1930 by Luigi Manzoni (a cross between Pinot Bianco and Riesling), this grape is a Veneto treasure. It produces elegant white wines with quince, lime, and saffron notes, and a silky texture. Grown in Treviso’s hills, it shines in traditional method sparkling wines and high-acidity still wines. Fun fact: Manzoni nicknamed it “Incroyable” for its versatility. Pair with sushi, asparagus alla Bismarck, or mixed fried fish. Oak-aged versions develop buttery and brioche notes, perfect with lemon scallopini. Recent amphora experiments highlight saline and citrus characteristics.
