Negretto is a black grape variety from Emilia-Romagna, cultivated in the Modena hills.
Characteristics
The wine has a dark ruby-red color. On the nose, it offers aromas of sour cherry, dark chocolate, and Mediterranean spices. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with polished tannins and a fruity finish.
Pairings
Perfect with tortellini in broth, Emilia-Romagna cured meats, and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Named for its intensely dark, almost black berries at full ripeness.
