Soft, enveloping wines with ripe pear, hay, and toasted almond aromas. Ponca soils (marl/ sandstone) in Collio amplify minerality.
Pairings
San Daniele ham, Friulian frico, or fish soups.
Curiosities
No relation to Hungarian Tokaji, but phonetic similarity sparked legal battles.
