Characteristics

Dry white wines with citrus zest, golden apple, and saffron hints. Grown on sandy, fossil-rich soils.

Tuscan crostini or aged pecorino.

Dante Alighieri mentioned it in Purgatorio as a symbol of winemaking excellence.
