'A Vita Winery
The winery ‘A Vita is located in Cirò Marina, Calabria. Founded by Francesco De Franco and Laura Violino, the winery spans eight hectares of vineyards cultivated with respect for biodiversity and the natural cycles of the vine. ‘A Vita primarily grows Gaglioppo, a native Calabrian grape variety, along with Magliocco, Greco Nero, Greco Bianco, and Mantonico, taking advantage of the unique climate of the Cirò hills, enriched by clay and limestone soils that impart a strong minerality to the wines.
In the cellar, production methods aim for maximum authenticity: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts are favored, and there is no filtration or clarification, preserving the natural flavor of the grapes and the distinctive character of the Cirò terroir. Sulfur is used in minimal amounts, ensuring wines that are pure and environmentally friendly.
