Francesco Guccione's family have been in the hills south of Palermo for generations. Nearly 10 years ago now, the decision was made that to create wines that truly focused on the region and its character. Selling of the fruit was stopped and conversion of the property began, firstly to Organics and the not Biodynamics. As much as possible is left to nature, their is no green harvest in the vineyards and no pumps or filters in the winery. The only interference is pruning and a small addition of sulphur before bottling. We are very excited to be showing the first wine that Francesco has made for 3 years at RAW.
