Le Quattro Volte Winery

Le Quattro Volte born in San Marco Argentano, between the Sila National Park and the Pollino National Park, in the province of Cosenza. The name, inspired by a song by Brunori Sas, celebrates the fraternal union among the 4 founding friends: Daniela De Marco and Giampiero Ventura (formerly Masseria Perugini), the renowned singer-songwriter from Cosenza, Brunori, and Emilio di Cianni.
Le Quattro Volte is situated in an area characterized by rich Mediterranean scrubland and abundant biodiversity, with predominantly clay-limestone soil, among the hills ranging from 200 to 400 meters in altitude in Ghiandaro. Here, the continuous micro-ventilation of the vineyards is essential for the quality of the grapes.
The grape varieties cultivated are typical of the northern Tyrrhenian regional area: Magliocco, Mantonico, Malvasia Bianca, Guarnaccino Nero, and Greco Bianco, grown without the use of synthetic chemicals (pesticides, herbicides). The grape harvest is done manually, and in the cellar, the winemaking process starts with spontaneous fermentations using exclusively indigenous yeasts. The short aging periods aim to best enhance the varietal and pure side of the grapes, with no filtration or clarification carried out. The potential addition of sulfites depends on the vintage but always remains below 30 mg/liter. The result is a line of juicy, fresh, and dynamic wines, characterized by a unique and genuine simplicity, reflecting the philosophical thinking of Giampiero and Daniela but with the musical rhythm and poetic vision of the Cosenza singer-songwriter, Brunori.
