Terrazze Singhie Winery
Terrazze Singhie Winery born in 2017 from the passion of Sara Polo and Mauro Migliavacca for organic viticulture and natural wine. After years of wandering in the world of wine in Italy and abroad, they were struck by a hidden gem nestled among the rock walls in the municipality of Orco Feglino, a village in the hinterland of Savona, above Finale Ligure.
The belief that, due to its geographical and historical characteristics, the terroir of Liguria can produce unique wines in the world; the idea that Lumassina, a native variety found in only three valleys in the Savona region, can yield a long-lasting and authentic wine; the desire to preserve and enhance a century-old vineyard in the midst of the forest, all played their part. A 0.6-hectare vineyard at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, preserved over time and protected by the forest, features terraces on dry stone walls surrounded only by chestnut trees, oaks, strawberry trees, and wild vegetation left to bloom. An enchanted place, wild and forgotten, a vineyard planted over 100 years ago but still incredibly alive and timeless.
Every day, they engage with the land through respectful manual work that entails immense effort (it’s just the two of them, and there are no tractors here). In the vineyard, they follow the principles of biodynamics, seeking harmony and balance in biodiversity, ensuring a vibrant and vital nature.
