Characteristics
The wine has a pale ruby-red color. Fragrant aromas of red cherry, pomegranate, and violets are accented by a peppery note. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy with soft tannins, making it highly drinkable.

Curiosities
Frappato is often blended with Nero d’Avola for Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG. Its name may derive from “frappa” (tangle), referencing its vigorous growth.
