A nearly extinct Tuscan red grape. Rustic profiles with notes of underbrush, leather, and spices. Pairs well with pappa al pomodoro or peposo stew. Fun fact: The name derives from the dialect “grerare” (hand-harvesting). Rediscovered in micro-zones of Chianti.
