Ulivello is a rare black grape variety cultivated in Tuscany, particularly in Grosseto.

Characteristics

The wine has a deep garnet-red color. On the nose, it features black plum, tobacco, leather, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is structured and tannic, with full body and a spicy finish.

Pairings

Ideal with wild boar stew, aged pecorino, and Tuscan tomato bread soup (pappa al pomodoro).

Curiosities

Rediscovered by local winemakers, it symbolizes the revival of Tuscan native grapes.
