Nosiola: Trentino’s Native Grape from Natural Farming
History of an Ancient Vine
Nosiola, called “queen of Trentino white wines”, traces its roots to the 16th century with mentions in episcopal archives. Its name derives from the “hazelnut” color of ripe berries. Exclusively grown in Trentino, its survival owes to heroic winemakers preserving biodynamic farming on steep mountain slopes.
