Vuolu Russu is a red wine produced by Jerax Winery from Greco Nero and Magliocco local grapes , spontaneous fermentation with maceration on the skins for 5 days and aging in steel tank for 10 months, no filtration.

Jerax or “sparrow hawk” is located in Calabria on the lower Ionian coast exactly in the Stilaro Valley in the province of Reggio Calabria. The vineyards are located at the foot of a rocky ridge 650 meters above sea level, soils composed of layers of clay and sand with the presence of marine fossils, well-ventilated grapes due to the presence of sea currents that guarantee an excellent night temperature range. In the vineyard, nature runs its course without particular interventions except winter pruning and green pruning, and only sulfur treatments in summer.
