Jerax or “sparrow hawk” is located in Calabria on the lower Ionian coast exactly in the Stilaro Valley in the province of Reggio Calabria. The vineyards are located at the foot of a rocky ridge 650 meters above sea level, soils composed of layers of clay and sand with the presence of marine fossils, well-ventilated grapes due to the presence of sea currents that guarantee an excellent night temperature range. In the vineyard, nature runs its course without particular interventions except winter pruning and green pruning, and only sulfur treatments in summer. Wines was produced only from local grapes as Greco Nero and Magliocco for the reds and Greco Bianco, Zibibbo and Mantonico for the whites, spontaneous fermentation and no filtration.->Discover all the wines of Jerax Winery
