Casè Winery
Casè is a craft winery founded in 1998 and located on the hills of the Trebbia Valley, where Alberto Anguissola and Diego Ragazzi have carefully identified a series of plots with clays and limestone, up to 560 meters altitude. Distinct microclimates with plants considered ideal for satisfying its characteristics: Pinot Noir – on low-productivity Burgundian clones such as 115 -, Bonarda, Barbera and other local white-grape vines. In the vineyard work without using synthetic chemistry; rather, biodiversity is encouraged with vines that coexist with wild herbs, insects and small animals. The harvest is manual by selective removal of unripe or damaged bunches, while in the cellar only native yeasts are used, with short maceration on the skins as well as white grapes.
