Furlani Winery
Cantina Furlani, located in Vigolo Vattaro in the province of Trento, represents excellence in the landscape of natural Trentino wines. Led by Matteo Furlani, a fourth-generation winemaker, the winery spans approximately 6 hectares of vineyards set between the slopes of the Vigolana Plateau and the hills overlooking Trento, reaching altitudes up to 720 meters above sea level.
Cantina Furlani’s production philosophy is rooted in biodynamic agriculture, excluding the use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers. This approach allows for the preservation of native grape varieties like Pavana, Lagarino Bianco, and Verdealbara, protecting them from extinction, alongside the cultivation of international varieties such as Müller Thurgau, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.
In the cellar, fermentations occur spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control, and rackings follow lunar cycles. Among the standout labels are the sparkling “sur lie” wines, where the second fermentation takes place in the bottle without disgorgement, imparting freshness and minerality to the wines.
Cantina Furlani stands out for its production of natural wines that authentically reflect the Trentino terroir, offering unique sensory experiences for wine enthusiasts.
