Flora was born from the desire to reinterpret Sauvignon Blanc in a personal way, far from the stereotypes of wines that are overly herbaceous or exuberant. After several maceration attempts, the winery chose to return to a more traditional vinification, with soft pressing of the grapes, to enhance elegance and drinkability without sacrificing complexity. After the soft pressing, the must ferments spontaneously without selected yeasts, undergoes malolactic fermentation, and ages for about a year between steel tanks and small wooden barrels. No microfiltration, no fining, and a minimal addition of sulfites to ensure stability without altering the purity of the fruit.

Serving temperature 10° – 12° C
Production Area Alfiano Natta (Alessandria), Piedmont
Soil Calcareous-silty
Vineyard Exposure West
Vinification Soft pressing. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation completed.
Aging 1 year between steel tanks and wood (small barrels).

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections, clear and brilliant.
  • Nose: The olfactory profile is fine and layered. Notes of white-fleshed fruit (peach, pear), citrus (grapefruit, lime), elderflower, and a light herbaceous background typical of Sauvignon emerge. The time spent in wood provides delicate hints of vanilla and almond, well-integrated and never intrusive.
  • Palate: The entry is soft and enveloping, with a well-balanced medium body. The freshness is supported by a pleasant acidity, while the mineral sapidity lengthens the finish. The sip is elegant, with fruity echoes and a clean, slightly citrusy closure. A white of great drinkability and character.

Recommended Pairings

Perfect with fish appetizers (raw, carpaccio), seafood risottos, baked or grilled fish. Also excellent with delicate white meats (chicken, turkey) and fresh goat cheeses. Ideal as an aperitif thanks to its freshness and complexity.

Why choose it

Because it is an atypical Sauvignon, far from herbaceous or tropical excesses, but rich in personality and finesse. Perfect for those looking for a versatile white, suitable for both everyday enjoyment and more important occasions. A wine that tells the story of the calm and elegance of the Upper Piedmont hills, with surprising value for money.
