Vigna alla Sughera is a red produced by I Mandorli Winery with 100% Sangiovese grapes it’s a blend of two different vinifications of grapes sourced from the “Vigna alla Sughera,” which is north-east facing, and the “Vigna ai Maiali,” which is north-west facing. Grapes from these two parcels are fermented separately in open vats, each with a capacity of 10 quintals. The grapes from the “Vigna alla Sughera” maceration on skins after fermentation for approximately 1 and a half months. The wines then age in wooden barrels, with some in 25 hl barrels and others in 16 hl barrels, for 8 months separately. Afterward, they are blended aging together in concrete for 8 months and in bottles for 12 months.
