Riesling Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad is a Riesling of great intensity and character, originating from one of the most renowned vineyards in the Palatinate. On the nose it releases intense aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit such as peach, apricot, and pineapple. On the palate it is silky, with a juicy and linear progression, enriched by delicate notes of green Matcha tea. The fullness of the fruit is paired with a creamy softness, balanced on the finish by a spicy, vibrant acidic structure. A wine described as “simply magnificent,” with excellent aging potential.
The Terroir: Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad
The Reiterpfad vineyard is famous for its geological complexity shaped by millennia of erosion. The soil is composed of layered multicolored sandstone (Buntsandstein), clay, and limestone, which gives the wine a deep and multifaceted minerality.
