Lo Amo Macerato is an orange wine that combines the grit of Cortese with the delicacy of a touch of Moscato, in a perfect balance between intensity and lightness, fleshiness and freshness. A wine that tells the story of a territory’s rebirth and the passion of a man who chose to dedicate his soul and body to the vineyard. Maceration of about 14 days on the skins, spontaneous fermentation in steel with indigenous yeasts only, aging for 9 months in acacia tonneaux, and finally 4 months of maturation in the bottle. No added sulfites, no chemicals, no interventions. The result is a wine of extraordinary personality, which adds a compelling yellow fleshiness to the typical rustic notes of haystack, wheat, and farmhouse.

Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Dark and intense golden color, with clear amber reflections that speak of the long maceration on the skins.
- Nose: The olfactory profile is complex and enveloping. Herbal scents emerge, along with notes of dried fruit (apricot, fig), ripe fruit, wheat, haystack, and farmhouse. The Moscato component provides a slight aromatic note that rounds out the bouquet without ever overpowering it. Underlying is a delicate mineral vein that adds depth.
- Palate: The entry is balanced, fresh, and full. The tannic texture is moderate and gentle, well-integrated into the wine’s structure. The sip is enveloping but at the same time dry, with a sapidity that lengthens the finish. Long closure, with returns of ripe fruit, medicinal herbs, and a light almond note. An orange wine of great drinkability and personality, which fills and dries simultaneously.
Recommended Pairings
Perfect with light vegetable-based appetizers (grilled vegetables, caponata), semi-hard aged cheeses, and seafood first courses. Also excellent with shellfish and grilled fish steaks, thanks to its freshness and moderate tannic structure. A versatile orange wine, suitable for any time of the day.
The Story of “The Count”
Gianluca Cabrini, a former automotive industry worker, decided in 2013 to change his life and dedicate himself to restoring an estate that had been abandoned since 2004 in Montecalvo Versiggia. With elegant and gentle manners—hence the nickname “The Count”—he began a journey of rebirth under the strictest organic and natural creed. Today, the winery, managed entirely by him, produces wines that tell the story of the territory in an eclectic, original, and increasingly convincing way. A virtuous example of dedication and passion.
Why Choose It
Because it is an orange wine that is intense and gentle at the same time. Because it combines the grit of Cortese, a dry and sharp grape variety, with the delicacy of a “zic” (a hint) of Moscato that rounds it out without ever masking it. Because in one sip it brings together rustic notes of haystack, wheat, and farmhouse with a compelling yellow fleshiness. It is for those looking for a wine that can tell a story of rebirth, territory, and pure craftsmanship. A wine that fills and dries at once, as only great whites can do.
