A’ Culonna from Cantina Scirto is a red wine predominantly composed of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio, sourced from the historic family vineyards in C. These vineyards stretch from Feudo di Mezzo to Passopisciaro at 650 meters above sea level, with grapes harvested from approximately 100-year-old vines on their own roots. Harvesting is done manually, and fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for about 30 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes aging for 18 to a maximum of 24 months in steel. It is further aged in the bottle for at least 6 months.
