Sonnengruss is a tribute to the vitality of the Rheingau and the future of viticulture. This cuvée is born from a blend of PIWI varieties (Souvignier Gris, Cabernet Blanc, and Bronner)—naturally resistant grape varieties that allow for even more environmentally friendly vineyard management. It is a wine created to offer pure pleasure, capable of evoking the brightness of a sunny day from the very first sip.

Production is handled with meticulous care: manual harvesting, immediate whole-cluster pressing, and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. Resting on the lees until manual bottling preserves the aromatic freshness and grants the wine a balanced, inviting structure. With a low sulfite content (25mg/l) and an organic philosophy, it is a wine that expresses energy and purity.

Serving Temperature 8° – 10° C
Vineyard Origin Rheingau, Germany (Landwein – Bio DE-OKÖ-006)
Grape Varieties Souvignier Gris, Cabernet Blanc, Bronner (PIWI Varieties)
Vinification Direct whole-cluster pressing. Spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks.
Aging In stainless steel on fine lees until manual bottling.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Welcoming and fruity, opening with clear notes of fresh apple enriched by a delicate and soft hint of vanilla.
  • Palate: On the palate, it surprises with its smoothness and flow. Despite a good acidic backbone, the sensation is one of great balance and freshness, with a silky mouthfeel that continuously invites another sip.

Recommended Pairings

Thanks to its harmonious and approachable nature, it is perfect as a “sunny” aperitif, but also beautifully accompanies vegetarian dishes, salads with dried fruit, light pasta dishes with seasonal vegetables, or fresh cheeses. Its drinkability makes it ideal for any convivial occasion.
